What is The best Ford Truck to Park?

What is The best Ford Truck to Park?

When it comes to parking a Ford Truck, whether it be a F-150 or a Escape, Explorer, Edge or Expedition, parking can be a task due to several factors including visibility with a load, driving in the inner city where parking can be a nightmare. Some newer models for many for the best ford trucks have Active Park Assist.

So Which Trucks Have Active Park Assist?

Ford's Active Park Assist, designed to aid drivers in parallel and perpendicular parking, has been featured in various models over the years. However, its availability has evolved, with recent trends indicating a phase-out in newer models in a cost cutting measure on some vehicles.

Models That Have Featured Active Park Assist:

  • Ford Escape and Explorer: Previously offered Active Park Assist 2.0, but as of the 2025 model year, this feature has been discontinued.
  • Ford F-150: Available in select trims such as the Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited.
  • Ford Edge and Expedition: These models have featured Enhanced Active Park Assist in various model years.

Recent Developments:

Ford has been gradually phasing out Active Park Assist in some of its vehicles, but it's increasing looking like all vehicles will eventually loose the feature. For instance, the 2025 Ford Escape and Explorer no longer includes this feature—likely due to cost-cutting measures aimed at staying competitive with Korean SUVs like the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage. Similarly, the 2024 F-150 lineup has also seen the removal of Active Park Assist. It’s surprising that Ford hasn’t retained it as an optional feature.

Given these changes, it's wise to check the latest specifications or consult a Ford dealership to confirm whether Active Park Assist is available on current models. It’s a valuable feature that can make parking significantly less stressful.
